- Beginner Beekeeping class drew 36 people! 15 new members joined OBA after the class.
- Apprentice Level class has 13 signed up so far, starts 3/27 – sign up on the website!
- Nathan is applying for the Inspire Olympia grant through the City, potentially up to $30K, fall under the science category, plan to use it for improving education opportunities and new equipment
- We plan to do volunteer training internally soon to folks are prepared to teach classes to community groups when requested

- Budget update from the Treasurer: Checking balance is $5,665.87, Savings balance is $4,564.90.

- Check to see if you need to feed – not a lot in bloom right now – feed 1:1 sugar water
- Beekeeping Today podcast just finished 4-part series (continuation of a series started in 2020) on beekeepingtoday.com about “Getting started with Beekeeping” – equipment, location, 3 P’s of beekeeping (Pests, Predators, Pesticides)
- Prepping woodware – clean, torch or sand, paint if needed (gives a few weeks for the paint to “off-gas” – only paint on the outside), foundations ready, bottom and top boards
- If have any dead-outs, get those cleaned up
- A little mold should be OK, bees will clean that up
