Where to find local honey?

We sold out of honey at the fair! Lots of people asked where they could buy local honey. Some other places you can purchase local honey include:

  • Swantown Inn Bed & Breakfast
  • Olympia Farmers Market : The association has plans to have a stall at the market eventually, subject to market approval. There are non member honey sellers at the market periodically.
  • We will add to the list as we ask members!

Sideliner Apiary for Sale

Looking for a simple path to having your own honey bees?  This is a turnkey opportunity for Olympia Beekeeper Association members:

– Nucs or Full-size hives

– All equipment included

– Bred from local PNW survivor stock from a fully sustainable apiary in East Olympia

– Regular mite treatments for clean healthy bees

– Delivery and discounts available

– I will deliver and drop the hives in your desired location.  It doesn’t get any easier than this!  I have 20 survivor colonies from a sustainable apiary in East Olympia.  I’m heartbroken but I’ll be moving out of state and can’t take my girls with me.  I need to find good homes for these hives!

These hives are turn-key and include roofs, bottom boards, boxes, frames, and inner covers… and most importantly healthy bees!  I have a range of prices from $200 – $400 for each hive, depending on if you want larger mature colonies or nucs.  I’m looking to sell these simply for the cost of a typical nuc/package plus the cost of the equipment.

Discounts of 10% for Olympia Beekeeper Association members, and quantity discounts available.  These hives have all been treated regularly for mites and include verified healthy laying queens.  Inspections are welcome and delivery is available.
