The OBA maintains a small amount of beekeeping equipment for members to borrow. It is currently stored centrally by Nathan Allan. You can contact him at president@olympiabeekeepers.org to confirm what equipment is currently available and make arrangements to pick up what you need.
Note: We require you be a current OBA member to borrow association equipment, and will verify your membership before pick up is arranged.
Varroa Treatments
At the beginning of 2024 the board approved the purchase of club owned InstantVap equipment. At the September meeting the members present reiterated the demand, and agreed that a small fee would be charged. The fee is designed to cover the wear and tear on the equipment, battery and supplies (OA and Respirator). To start with $20 per day will be the fee (payable in cash, so there are no fees involved).
There will be a brief training before you take and use the device. You will also be supplied with respirator gear.
