- NEW OFFER! I’m wondering if any association members are looking for a location for hives, we’re looking to get more bees around our 7 acre property in NE Olympia.
- New Offer (April 2025) My name is Carla McAferty, I live in the Littlerock area, south of Tumwater. I was wondering if there are any bee keepers in the area who are looking to increase their number of honeybee hives, and are looking for “host properties” to place them? We live on 5 acres, with a mix of landscaped yard, pasture and mature fir trees, and some fruit trees. I’ve started a mixed flower garden that measures approximately 60’ x 90’ and also have a small food garden, growing grapes, raspberries and various other vegetables. We use mostly organic methods and steer away from using pesticides as much as possible. Friends down in the Castlerock community have beekeepers who bring their hives to their property from the Vancouver, WA area. They come and check on the hives regularly, and offer them a fraction of the honey they are able to harvest. I figured I would check to see if anyone was interested in doing that in this area!
